About Uncovr
Uncovr is building AI-powered infrastructure for the future of surgery.
We work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, surgical video, clinical workflows, and healthcare technology. Our mission is to help surgical teams better understand, document, and improve surgical procedures by turning complex clinical data into structured, useful, and trustworthy reports.
We are a fast-moving startup working on technically ambitious problems with real-world clinical impact. As we expand our platform, we are looking for an exceptional Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help us build the product and infrastructure layer that connects AI systems with real-world clinical users.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with strong experience building scalable, production-ready applications across web, mobile, cloud, edge, and AI-driven systems.
In this role, you will design and build the interfaces, services, and infrastructure that allow clinicians and surgical teams to interact with Uncovr’s AI systems. You will work across user-facing dashboards, backend services, cloud systems, and clinical integrations.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who can build reliable software in complex environments and collaborate closely with AI researchers, product teams, and clinical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build scalable full-stack applications that connect AI services with user-facing dashboards, control panels, and clinical workflows.
Build robust web and mobile application experiences, including workflows that connect mobile and web interfaces.
Collaborate closely with AI researchers and engineers to transform prototypes into reliable, production-grade systems.
Build backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and microservices that support AI-powered product features.
Integrate Uncovr’s applications with clinical systems, including EHR environments such as Epic or similar platforms.
What We’re Looking For
3–5+ years of production experience in full-stack engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, or a related technical role.
Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience building modern frontend applications, ideally with React.
Strong backend engineering skills, including API design, databases, data modeling, and service architecture.
Experience building scalable full-stack applications that connect complex backend systems with intuitive user-facing interfaces.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and deployment of production systems.
Experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, or microservice architectures.
Understanding of mobile application development and how mobile and web applications can work together in a unified product experience.
Experience integrating software into healthcare environments, especially EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms.
Ability to work closely with AI researchers and product teams to turn ambiguous requirements into reliable software.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment.
Nice to Have
BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with EHR integrations, clinical interoperability standards, or hospital IT environments.
Prior experience in healthcare, medical technology, digital health, or hospital-facing software.
Experience with high-throughput video systems, surgical video, medical imaging, or real-time data processing.
Experience with cloud providers such as GCP or similar environments.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern infrastructure tooling.
Familiarity with security, privacy, and compliance expectations in healthcare environments.
Interest in surgery, clinical workflows, or medical technology.
Who You Are
You are a strong full-stack engineer who enjoys building systems that are technically complex but simple and reliable for users.
You are comfortable working across frontend, backend, cloud, edge, and clinical integrations. You care about performance, usability, observability, and production quality. You can collaborate with AI researchers on early prototypes, but you know how to turn those ideas into robust systems that clinicians can use in real-world environments.
You are pragmatic, ambitious, and comfortable working in a fast-moving startup. You take ownership of complex engineering problems and are motivated by building technology with real clinical impact.
Why Join Uncovr
At Uncovr, you will help build the product and infrastructure layer behind a new generation of surgical intelligence tools.
Your work will directly shape how clinicians interact with AI-powered systems, how surgical video moves from the operating room to the cloud, and how advanced AI capabilities become usable in real hospital environments.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to build production software at the intersection of AI, healthcare, video infrastructure, and clinical workflows.
